Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) is the most common type of lupus. SLE is an autoimmune disease in which the immune system attacks its own body, causing inflammation and damage in the affected organs. This disease can affect the joints, skin, brain, lungs, kidneys, and blood vessels.

Colin Bayliss Research and Teaching Unit has a number of SLE studies seeking volunteers. Please contact us if you have the following:

  • diagnosis of SLE ≥ 6 Months
  • Currently receiving steroids and/or anti-malarial treatment and/or another DMARD
